DELIVERY CAPABILITY
Prior to being injured in a motor vehicle accident some 18 months ago Mr Jerry Russell, Chairman of the Seaspray Equitable Beach Access Community Network, operated a Civil Engineering contracting and landscaping business.
Whilst Mr Russell is now wheelchair bound he has nonetheless been able to bring to this project his extensive experience in building, repairing and maintaining timber-based structures such as the Seaspray Disabled Ramp.
Mr Russell has reviewed the proposed repair methodology and timeframes and believes in his professional opinion the work can be completed to the required standard within a 6 weeks’ timeframe.
The local supplier of Treated Pine timber in Alberton, Victoria has confirmed their ability to supply the required timber.
A local contractor who has the machinery and labour required for this job has reviewed the detailed project plan and confirmed the project can be completed within the proposed budget and timeframe.
Mr Russell has undertaken an onsite visit in conjunction with a senior representative from the DELWP and the Department has confirmed that repair of this facility represents a good value outcome for the Seaspray community.
Whilst the Seaspray Equitable Beach Access Community Network Inc is the vehicle through which this application for Funding has been made, the Seaspray Reserves Committee of Management has been briefed on this Application and it is the intention of the Network that the project be undertaken under the auspice of the Committee.
The landowner (DELWP) has confirmed their support for this project.
